In 2015, four young musicians of the Regional Conservatory of Boulogne-Billancourt –
located at 22 rue de la Bellefeuille, founded the Bellefeuille Quartet as a tribute to their meeting place.
They entered the chamber music class of Aline Bartissol and in 2016 obtained the string quartet DEM (end of studies) with the congratulations of the jury. In this partnership, they found the ideal balance between personal expression and group strength.
The foursome separated in 2017 because of geographical distance: two members
were admitted to the National Conservatory of Music of Paris while the other two were admitted to that of Lyon.
After a few adventures, the quartet met again at the Flaine 2018 workshop and decided to continue the venture. The ensemble worked with Yovan Markovitch, Jean Sulem and Xavier Gagnepain, and then joined the class of Luc-Marie Aguera at the Paris Regional Conservatory.
Since then, the Bellefeuille Quartet has regularly performed on national stages. At
Clamart, it played excerpts from Such is the Night during a tribute to Henri Dutilleux.
At the Regional Conservatory of Boulogne-Billancourt, it interpreted the « Sunrise » of Haydn. It was invited to play Borodin’s second quartet at the Festival Musique in Flaine and the Op.18 quartet n ° 4 at the Beethoven Festival of the Paris Conservatoire. The
Philharmonic Orchestra of Paris invited them to play « La Chasse » by Mozart as a prelude to concerts of the Orchestre de Paris.

The group enriched and diversified its repertoire by interpreting Bartok, Schumann and Ravel. In 2019, the Bellefeuille quartet joined Le Dimore del Quartetto.
