Claire Buttin et Charles Offenstein – Voyage en Europe à quatre mains
BIOGRAPHY
Charles Offenstein began playing the piano at a very young age, four years old. He is an artist in perpetual motion. An internationally renowned pianist, his career has allowed him to make numerous artistic encounters that have fueled his desire to explore art in all its forms.
He received instruction from great French and Russian pedagogues in France and Germany. Rena Shereshevskaya and Vitali Berzon played a significant role in his training and approach to music.

After completing his studies, he gained recognition on the international stage and won several international prizes (the Chopin International Competition in Brest, the Gorizia International Competition in Italy).
He was then invited as a soloist to the prestigious Dinard International Music Festival and the Quimper Music Weeks, and in 2013 he undertook a concert tour dedicated to Chopin with the AJAM (Association Jeunesse et Artistique de la Musique).
An eclectic pianist, he collaborates with numerous musicians, including pianist Claire Buttin (with whom he distinguished himself in competitions in Paris and Poland), trumpeter Pascal Clarhaut, and violinist David Mancinelli. Passionate about repertoire, he enjoys exploring new musical styles and in 2018 performed the Sonata for Piano Four Hands by Australian composer Carl Vine for the first time in France.
He also participated in the creation of “Instant Karma Circus Recital,” a show combining piano and circus arts, directed by Laurent Gachet.
A piano teacher, Charles has been a PEA (Professional Accompanist) at the Dordogne Departmental Conservatory since January 2020.
He is also exploring new horizons as a director. In 2024, he co-created, notably with Kevin Martinez, the musical show “Archipelago,” combining electronic music with 20th and 21st-century music.
With Claire Buttin, he founded the Apilone association, which offers concerts and artistic creations centered around the piano. In 2025, they created the concert “Variations,” a fusion of classical and electronic music.
