Biographie de Viv McLean

Décrit par Le Monde comme « possédant le génie que l’on trouve chez ceux qui savent s’oublier », depuis qu’il a remporté le premier prix au concours de piano de Maria Canals à Barcelone, le pianiste britannique Viv McLean a joué dans tous les principaux lieux du Royaume-Uni ainsi que dans toute l’Europe, le Japon, l’Australie et les États-Unis. Le travail de concerto de Viv comprend des apparitions avec le RPO, Philharmonia Orchestra, LPO, Halle Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Sinfonia Viva, Orchestra of the Swan, Orchestra of St John’s, Northern Chamber Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of such conductors as Daniel Harding, John Wilson, Wayne Marshall, John Lubbock, Philip Hesketh, Christopher Warren-Green, Owain Arwell Hughes, Carl Davis, Rebecca Miller, Chloe van Soeterstede et Marvin Hamlisch.

Viv joue régulièrement avec l’Adderbury Ensemble et a également joué avec d’autres groupes de chambre de premier plan tels que le Ysaye String Quartet, le Sacconi String Quartet, les membres de The Elias, Allegri, Carducci, Tippett String Quartets, Leonore Piano Trio, Ensemble 360 ​​et le Trio Leopold String. Tout en étudiant à l’Académie, il a été le gagnant du concours de piano au Royal Overseas League Music Competition, a été sélectionné comme l’un des gagnants du concours des jeunes artistes de la Fédération nationale des sociétés musicales et a fait ses débuts Wigmore Hall en remportant le Ram Wigmore Award.

Viv a fait ses débuts au récital de la BBC Radio 3 dans le cadre du Scheme du Forum des jeunes artistes de la BBC Radio 3 et a également enregistré pour Classic FM, WDR Radio en Allemagne, Radio France, ABC Radio en Australie, NRK Radio en Norvège et pour la chaîne de télévision Sky Arts. Ses sorties commerciales ont inclus des enregistrements pour Sony, Chandos, Signum Classics, Naxos, Nimbus, Lyrita, RPO Records, ICSM Records et ses albums les plus récents sont un récital de Chopin et une sélection d’enregistrements en direct pour Stone Records.

Viv McLean

Described by Le Monde as « possessing the genius one finds in those who know how to forget themselves », since winning First Prize at the Maria Canals Piano Competition in Barcelona, British pianist Viv McLean has performed in all the major venues in the UK as well as throughout Europe, Japan, Australia and the USA. Noé Clerc is a young accordionist and eclectic composer.

After studying at the National Conservatory of Paris (Double Classic course and Jazz), he started his career and evolves in different musical universes.

In 2018, he created the Noah Clerc Trio with the double bass player Clément Daldosso and the drummer Elie Martin Charrière with whom he performs in many festivals and won several prizes (Jazz in St Germain des Prés 2019, Defense Instrumentist Prix Jazz Festival 2021, Jazz Migration 2022).

The trio released a first album under the Nomad Music « Secret Place » label which receives a warm welcome from the press (album Revelation Jazz Magazine)

He also plays with various training courses in France as well as abroad. He works in the Franco/Serbian group « Undeted Band & Magic Malik ». He collaborated several times in Israel with the Oudist and composer Habib Sheahadeh Hanna in his project « Our Story » which mixes jazz and Arab music.

In March 2019 he was invited by the Alliance Française de New Delhi to participate in the « Inchorus » project which will give rise to a tour of India with the Tablas player Zaheen Khan and singer Ujwal Nagar. The same year he joined the « Mosaïc » ensemble which brings together 6 musicians from different musical traditions of the Mediterranean. He plays with many artists and jazz sets such as, Ana Carla Maza, Denis Leloup, François Thuillier, the National Jazz Orchestra, Jean Marie Machado, Vincent Ségal, Fidel Fourneyron, Robinson Khoury, Minino Garay…

At the same time, he plays with classical orchestras and chamber music sets: the Lorraine National Opera, the Pocket Symphony, the Normandy Regional Orchestra, the Onceim, the companies « Eclated Opera », « La Storm », the choreographer Elsa Bontempeli. Lovers of the theater he works with the hall of the song on several creations revisiting the heritage of French song as well as with the actor Antonio Interlandi in his show « Pasolini in the shape of a pink ». Passionate and curious, he is always looking for new musical adventures.

Amoureux du théâtre il travaille avec le Hall de la Chanson sur plusieurs créations revisitant le patrimoine de la chanson française ainsi qu’avec le comédien Antonio Interlandi dans son spectacle « Pasolini en forme de rose ». Passionné et curieux il est toujours en quête d’aventures musicales nouvelles.

Daehyeon Kang, né en Corée du Sud en 1999, est un violoniste très accompli. Il s’est formé à la Gyeongbuk Arts High School et à l’Institut des Arts de Daegu pour les élèves doués, avant de  s’installer en Allemagne en 2019. Il a obtenu son baccalauréat avec les plus hautes distinctions à la Musikhochschule Münster sous la direction du professeur Koh Gabriel Kameda et a  immédiatement commencé ses études de master. Le talent de Kang a été reconnu par de  nombreux prix, notamment des premiers prix dans d’importants concours coréens et autrichiens, ainsi que le prestigieux prix DAAD en 2023.

Kang s’est produit abondamment en tant que soliste, chambriste et musicien d’orchestre à  travers l’Europe et l’Asie. Il a joué avec des orchestres tels que l’Orchestre Symphonique de la  Radio MBC et le Kammerensemble Münster, interprétant des concertos renommés. Ses  performances l’ont conduit dans diverses villes d’Allemagne, d’Espagne et du Portugal. Il a  participé au projet « Sound of Change », se produisant au Festival de Ljubljana, et a été  présenté au Festival de piano de Lindlar.

Depuis 2022, Kang dirige l’« Echo Ensemble », qui s’est produit dans des festivals prestigieux  tels que le Festival International de Musique de Coblence et le Festival du Münsterland,  démontrant son leadership et sa vision musicale. Il est boursier de la « Fondation Live Music  Now » et joue sur un violon de la famille Klotz du XVIIIe siècle.

Yesse KIM

Depuis ses débuts en solo à l’âge de neuf ans au Kumho Arts Hall de Séoul, la pianiste  coréenne-américaine Yesse Kim s’est produite à de nombreuses reprises aux États-Unis, en  Asie et en Europe.

Des séries de concerts prestigieuses telles que le Korea-China Exchange Concert of Piano, les Yamaha Young Performing Artists et les Kumho Young Artist l’ont incluse dans leur  programmation.

En tant que soliste, elle a joué avec des orchestres tels que l’Orchestre philharmonique de  Séoul, Daejeon Sangrok, Birmingham-Bloomfield, Ann Arbor, Dearborn et Kankakee Valley  Symphony. Elle est lauréate de l’Asia Chopin Piano Competition, du Kingsville International  Piano Competition, du Lennox Young Artist International Competition et de l’Ischia International Piano Competition.

Yesse Kim a obtenu sa licence et sa maîtrise auprès de Yong Hi Moon au Peabody Institute de  l’Université Johns Hopkins en Amérique, grâce à une bourse complète Ruth J. Brouse Bauer.  Avec le soutien d’une bourse DAAD, elle a commencé son diplôme de concertiste auprès du  professeur Arnulf von Arnim à la Musikhochschule Münster en 2018.

Depuis son arrivée en Europe, elle est devenue une pianiste recherchée. Ses concerts l’ont  conduite à travers la France, l’Italie, l’Espagne, l’Autriche et l’Allemagne. De plus, elle entretient une activité de concert dynamique dans son pays d’origine, la Corée du Sud, où elle revient  régulièrement pour des concerts.

Yesse KIM

Since its solo beginnings at the age of nine at the Kumho Arts Hall in Seoul, the Korean-American pianist Yesse Kim has occurred many times in the United States, Asia and Europe.

Daehyeon KANG

Daehyeon Kang, born in South Korea in 1999, is a very accomplished violinist. He trained at the Gyeongbuk Arts High School and the Institut des Arts de Daegu for gifted students, before settling in Germany in 2019. He obtained his baccalaureate with the highest distinctions

At Musikhochschule Münster under the direction of Professor Koh Gabriel Kameda and immediately started his master’s studies. Kang’s talent has been recognized by numerous prizes, including first prizes in major Korean competitions and  Austrians, as well as the prestigious DAAD Prize in 2023.

Kang occurred abundantly as a soloist, chambrist and orchestra musician through Europe and Asia. He played with orchestras such as the Radio Symphony Orchestra MBC and Kammerensemble Münster, interpreting renowned concertos. His performances led him to various cities in Germany, Spain and Portugal. He participated in the “Sound of Change” project, performing at the Ljubljana festival, and was presented at the Lindlar piano festival.

Since 2022, Kang has run the « Echo Ensemble », which has occurred in prestigious festivals such as the Coblence International Music Festival and the Münsterland Festival, demonstrating its leadership and musical vision. He is a scholarship holder of the « Live Music Now Foundation » and plays on a violin of the Klotz family of the 18th century.
