Vincent currently studies at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz with Concert Pianist and Professor, Markus Schirmer. Born in the United Kingdom to Bolivian-Chinese Parents, he has performed in several prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall London, and gave a solo recital at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room in November 2017. Having previously studied at the Royal College of Music Junior Department under Nataša Lipovšek with Scholarship, he was successful with numerous competitions in the U.K. He received 1st prize at the Beethoven Society of Europe’s Junior Intercollegiate Piano Competition in March 2016, and won several prizes at the Mid Somerset Festival in March 2018, including the Premiere Concerto Prize and the Outstanding Pianist of the Year Award.
Vincent has also received international success. In 2019, Vincent received 1st prize at the “Piano Talents” International Piano Competition 2019 in Milan and 2nd prize at the Cesar Franck International Piano Competition 2019 in Kraainem, Belgium. In September that year, he was invited to perform at Arsonore International Music Festival Graz amongst 6 other pianists from KUG to perform the complete Chopin nocturnes in one evening. Vincent’s recordings of the Op.9 nocturnes later aired on national Austrian radio “Ö1”.
More recently, he was awarded a Grand Prix “Crown of Stars” by the Music and Stars Awards Competition 2020, 1st Absolute Prize at the Franz Liszt Centre International Piano Competition 2021, and 1st Prize and “Best Performance of a 20th Century Work” in the Artists Category of the Nordic International Piano Competition 2021. He was then invited to give a recital at the Auditori Viader in Girona, Spain as part of the “Hammerklavier International Piano Series 2021” and also performed Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 with Trowbridge Symphony Orchestra in England. This year saw Vincent make his Debut at the Wienermusikverein’s Gläserner Saal in Vienna, where he performed a self-curated programme of works by Reynaldo Hahn.
He has been invited to perform in numerous concert halls throughout Europe, notably in Italy, Germany, Croatia, England, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Poland and Austria, and was selected to participate in numerous masterclasses given by world-renowned pianists, such as Joanna Macgregor, Uta Weyand, Ewa Pobłocka, Ronan O’Hora and William Fong.
