The Trio Lazuli

The Trio Lazuli, made up of Marina Saiki (piano), Anna-Li Hardel (violin) and Romane Bestautte (cello), was born in 2021 out of a strong musical complicity and a shared passion for chamber music.

Backed up by Jean-Marc Phillips (Trio Wanderer) and Louis Rodde (Trio Karénine), they are distinguished by their deep musical sensitivity, colourful playing and very clear discourse. All three are soloists at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where they are currently pursuing a master’s degree in chamber music in Louis Rodde’s class. The Trio Lazuli won the First Prize of Honour with congratulations from the jury at the Léopold Bellan International Competition in Paris in 2023.

A violinist with a diploma from the Paris Conservatoire and winner of several international competitions, Anna-Li Hardel appears regularly in various string ensembles and piano trios, as well as with French orchestras. With a passion for chamber music, she founded the Trio Lazuli and, together with Quiterie Thiollier, set up the Cordes en Trégor chamber music and dance festival, which held its first edition in 2022.

The El Pasito association, the Nguyen Thien Dao foundation and the Banque Populaire du Grand Ouest foundation support her projects.

A cellist who graduated from the Paris Conservatoire, Romane Bestautte works regularly with Julian Steckel in Munich. A keen chamber musician, she has worked extensively on the piano trio repertoire with Trio Lazuli in Louis Rodde’s class at the CNSMDP. Attracted to the orchestra at an early age, she is regularly invited to play with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and the Paris Opera.
