The DOLCE TORMENTO trio was born from the meeting of Lucie Fouquet—a soprano passionate about Baroque music—and François Corneloup, an improvising saxophonist and composer.
Together, they sought to bring their musical backgrounds into dialogue, opening up new creative territories infused with the deeply poetic soul of this timeless repertoire and enlivened by the breath of improvisation. To enrich this creative journey with the sonorities and harmonic colors of the Baroque era, Lucie Fouquet and François Corneloup enlisted the immense creative freedom of lutenist and guitarist Ondřej Jalůvka—an artist who is both an expert in the rigorous art of *basso continuo* and ready to embrace any bold ideas that emerge in the musical moment.
A delightful immersion into the Baroque legacy, DOLCE TORMENTO also represents a shared, contemporary expression of the three artists’ passion for live music.
