Formed in Paris in 2017 by pianist Camille Belin and cellist Natacha Colmez-Collard, the Neria duo is the winner of the First Prize of the 48th Georges Cziffra Competition during the SenLiszt Festival.
The origin of their name comes from Neria, the Sabine goddess of strength and bravery: it is this image of energy and strength that inspires the two young women in their ambitions, their choice of repertoire and their interpretations. « Generous in their emotions, moving in their expression » (ConcertoNet), the Neria duo is nourished by these two contrasting and complementary personal universes: Camille, a very active chamber musician committed to working with singers, is a graduate of the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and a prizewinner in several international competitions (Italy, New York. Natacha, a graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, is principal cellist of the Orchestre National d’Île de France and is also developing numerous personal projects, such as recording albums and creating shows for young audiences.
United by their love of the romantic and modern repertoire, the musicians also like to explore little-known works and create thematic programmes. They are also very attached to working with today’s composers, and commissioned Blackout, a piece by Fabien Cali that appears on their first album.
Curious and inquisitive, the duo meets great artists who encourage them and contribute to their development, in particular Vincent Coq, pianist of the Trio Wanderer and Emmanuel Strosser. Cultivating a love of proximity with the public and of sharing, the Neria duo regularly gives, in addition to its public concerts, private concerts and charity concerts.
Their first album « Regards [1882] », released in 2020 on the Passavant Music label, was awarded four stars by Classica magazine and is described as « one of those that stand out from the very first notes » (Gang Flow): « the Neria duo displays in its first album « Regards 1882″ a very assertive temperament » (Wanderer)
